1. Go-Go Boots
Those white vinyl boots that went up to your knees – we thought we were really something special wearing these! Nancy Sinatra had us all believing these boots were made for walking, and now they’re strutting down runways again. Young fashionistas are pairing them with mini dresses just like we did, though nowadays they come in every color imaginable.

2. Paper Dresses
Would you believe we actually wore dresses made of paper? These disposable fashion statements cost about $1.25 and came in wild psychedelic prints. Now they’re back as “sustainable fashion,” though today’s versions are made from special eco-friendly materials rather than actual paper. Just don’t get caught in the rain!
3. Nehru Jackets
After The Beatles visited India, everyone had to have one of these mandarin-collared jackets. We thought we looked so sophisticated wearing them to dinner parties. Now they’re back in high-end fashion collections, though they’re calling them “band collar jackets” these days. Still just as sharp-looking as they were when we wore them!
4. Vinyl Raincoats
Those shiny, space-age looking raincoats were all the rage – we felt like we were dressed for the future! They came in every color under the sun, though white and clear were the most popular. Today’s designers are bringing back these plastic fantastic looks, though they’re calling them “transparent outerwear.”
5. Body Paint
Remember those wild parties where folks would show up with painted flowers and peace signs all over their faces and arms? It was quite the statement back then. Now it’s back at music festivals and runway shows, though they’re using much fancier products than the craft paint we used to use!
6. Plastic Jewelry
Those chunky bangles and oversized rings made from colorful plastic – we thought we were so mod wearing them! They cost next to nothing and came in every color imaginable. Now they’re selling similar pieces in high-end boutiques for prices that would have made us faint back then.
7. Space Age Helmets
We all wanted to look like astronauts with the space race in full swing. Those bubble helmets and metallic head coverings were quite a sight to see! Designer Pierre Cardin made them famous, and now they’re showing up again in avant-garde collections and music videos.
8. Paper Furniture
