Country music star Lainey Wilson and her longtime partner, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, officially tied the knot on Sunday, May 10, in a ceremony that looked every bit as joyful as you’d expect. While celebrity weddings often come with high-pressure expectations and rigid formalities, the couple took a refreshingly mellow approach to their big day in Dickson, Tennessee.

Speaking on the ACM Awards red carpet on May 17, Wilson admitted that while their guests might have been fretting over their outfits, she and Hodges were focused on the bigger picture. “Honestly, we were the ones that were a little less stressed,” Wilson shared. “Everybody else was worried about what they were going to wear to the wedding. We were like, ‘You can wear your birthday suit. We don’t give a damn.'”
Hodges echoed his new bride’s sentiment, noting that they were likely the least stressed people in attendance. The guest list was packed with country royalty, including Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Luke Bryan, and Lauren Alaina, all of whom got to witness a day that Wilson described as “perfect” and “beautiful.”
Finding Balance in the Spotlight
For fans who have watched Wilson’s career skyrocket over the last few years, it’s heartening to see her find such a solid support system. Wilson credits Hodges with helping her navigate the pressures of her rising fame, calling him her “person.”
“Getting me through it is having somebody to lean on and call home,” Wilson said. “I’m so glad that we’re getting to experience this together, because this is all I’ve ever dreamed about.” With a new marriage and plenty of projects still in the works, it sounds like Wilson is exactly where she wants to be—with her “guy” by her side to handle the journey ahead.
