James Wilson (SeJames Humphrey) is navigating the dating world and lives his life as a “nice guy.” As the title suggests, Wilson soon realizes that NGFL: Nice Guys Finish Last. NGFL finds Wilson stumbling upon the woman he loves leading a double life. Hurt, he changes his nice guy image to protect his heart.
Because We’re Done (2022)
Evan Wilson (Reggie Gaskins) decides to leave his wife of 18 years. As a partner in a prestigious accounting firm, he’s embarrassed by her work as a hairdresser. His wife, unphased by her position in a poorer part of the city, tells him he’s simply having a midlife crisis. Because We’re Done hits at real-life issues while adding a few laughs along the way.
The Diamond Arm (1969)
During a black market jewel smuggling operation, a courier named Gennadiy Kozodoyev (Andrey Mironov) is sent to collect the goods. Nobody knows what Kozodoyev looks like, only that he’ll say a code word. A tourist is mistaken for the courier when he utters the code word while traveling on the same cruise ship as Kozodoyev, and hilarity ensues. The Diamond Arm offers a touch of old-school slapstick to Prime’s comedy listings.
The Apartment (1960)
The Apartment follows New York insurance clerk Bud Baxter (Jack Lemmon). Baxter wants a promotion but gets nowhere with honest efforts. He starts lending out his apartment to get in the good graces of company executives. The catch? The executives are using the space as a love nest to bring their mistresses. This somewhat spicy comedy is a classic with plenty of chaotic aftermath to overcome. The Apartment will take you back to nostalgic 1960s films of the past.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
The Wolf of Wall Street (2019) is based on the true tale of Wall Street broker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). Belfort starts as an entry-level broker and builds his firm, which defrauds wealthy clients, stealing millions of dollars. Though this is a tale of theft and debauchery, it’s also presented in a punchy comedic manner. The Wolf of Wall Street stars Jonah Hill (Super Bad), Margot Robbie (Barbie), and Matthew McConaughey (Fools Gold).
The Truman Show (1998)
Truman Burbank (Jim Carrey) unknowingly lives his entire life on a massive TV set in The Truman Show (1998), as he is the star of a live reality show watched by millions. When he begins to notice irregularities in his perfect world, he becomes determined to discover the truth. Meanwhile, the show’s creator, Christof (Ed Harris), attempts to keep him in the dark. The film explores themes of reality, freedom, and the human spirit’s unyielding quest for truth.
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
