In a desperate attempt to revive her nonexistent career, Jamie Lynn signed up for the British reality TV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. After the first episode aired, people took to X to express their feelings.
Not a Sweetheart
Streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S., the series is where D-list celebrities and disgraced politicians go to garner public sympathy. They spend quality time deep inside the Australian jungle, where luxuries like running water and beds are replaced with snakes, cockroaches, and good old-fashioned sleeping under the night sky.
It’s been a good few weeks since Britney Spears released her bombshell memoir The Woman in Me, and she didn’t have anything nice to say about her little sister. This only fueled fans against the Zoe 101 actress, as the public tends to regard her as someone who enjoyed financial perks during Britney’s conservatorship while doing nothing to help or support her more famous sister.
From a professional standpoint, Jamie Lynn hasn’t had the best couple of years. Her memoir Things I Should Have Said barely got any sales. Her 2023 attempted revival of Zoe 101 movie, the aptly titled romantic comedy Zoe 102, was mostly ignored by fans and critics, with only 9 of them bothering to review the subpar flick on Rotten Tomatoes.

Instead of getting the public on her side, Jamie Lynn’s appearance in I’m a Celeb seems to have the opposite effect if X (formerly known as Twitter) users are to be believed. It didn’t help that Jamie Lynn outright refused to mention her sister on the show, which no one finds endearing, not even the show’s hosts.
One user poked fun at Jamie Lynn’s intro interview where she claims to be known for being a singer and actress. When, in fact, she’s best known for being related to someone famous.
Another social media user compared Jamie Lynn’s reaction to ants during the episode with her sister’s iconic 2001 VMA performance.
Some people found amusement in watching how other jungle contestants didn’t bother to learn the younger Spears sister’s name and kept referring to her as “Britney’s sister” throughout the episode.
But in the end, Britney fans are angry at Jamie Lynn, and regardless of how many roaches and snakes she endures during her stint on the British show, public perception of her is unlikely to change anytime soon.
